2005 Mercedes-Benz C 2.1L Diesel · A15 WAH

The vehicle presents a consistent and stable maintenance profile according to the available MOT records. The most recent test on 6 May 2025 at 227,719 miles resulted in a pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This follows a series of clean passes dating back to April 2021, indicating that the vehicle has been maintained sufficiently to meet minimum legal standards without recurring failures or significant structural or mechanical issues flagged by the tester. The mileage accumulation is consistent with a vehicle of this age and type. The record shows a steady increase from 179,792 miles in April 2021 to 227,719 miles in May 2025. This represents an average annual usage of approximately 12,000 miles, which aligns with typical long-distance commuting patterns for a Mercedes-Benz of this era. There are no sudden spikes in mileage that would suggest heavy commercial use or periods of prolonged inactivity. While the MOT history is exceptionally clean, the high total mileage necessitates a thorough physical inspection of high-wear components. A buyer should focus on the condition of the suspension system, specifically checking for worn control arm bushes, leaking shock absorbers, and the integrity of the coil springs. Given the age and mileage, inspecting the subframes for corrosion and checking the brake discs for deep scoring or uneven wear is essential. The absence of advisories regarding tyre tread or wiper blades in the recent tests suggests recent consumable replacement. However, a manual check of the brake lines, exhaust system integrity, and all suspension mounting points is recommended to ensure no underlying structural degradation has developed between the recorded test dates.
