A recurring advisory regarding cracking rear tyres is the primary mechanical concern for this vehicle, having been flagged in both the March 2025 and March 2026 inspections. Despite this persistent issue, the vehicle has maintained a consistent record of passing its tests, with the latest pass recorded on 12 March 2026. The absence of any failures or other advisories in the 2023 and 2024 tests indicates a consistent testing history, although the tyre issue remains unresolved. The recorded mileage of 43,975 miles represents a typical usage pattern for a six-year-old vehicle, averaging roughly 7,329 miles per year. This steady accumulation suggests the car has been used regularly rather than standing for extended periods or being subjected to extreme high-mileage use. Mechanically, this level of usage indicates that consumables such as brake pads and tyres are likely approaching a stage where replacement is necessary. Inspection should focus specifically on the rear tyres to assess the depth and severity of the cracking mentioned in the DVSA records. A close examination of the sidewalls is required to ensure the cracks have not compromised the structural integrity of the casing. During a test drive, the buyer should listen for any rhythmic thumping or increased road noise from the rear, which can be symptomatic of tyre perishing. Beyond the tyre advisories, the DVSA history shows no recorded defects related to the suspension, braking system, or structural corrosion. A test drive should be used to confirm the absence of steering pull or pedal judder, ensuring the vehicle continues to meet the standards seen in its previous clean tests. The lack of any recorded failures over the last four years provides a factual baseline of compliance with MOT standards.
