2018 Bentley Continental 6.0L Petrol · AA17 DYS

A consistent record of clean MOT results across five consecutive testing cycles defines this vehicle's documented roadworthiness, with the most recent pass on 25 August 2026 showing no recorded defects. The absence of failures or advisories since the initial testing period in 2021 indicates a stable regulatory history regarding structural integrity, lighting, braking efficiency, and exhaust emissions. This lack of recorded mechanical issues suggests that the components subject to mandatory inspection have remained within the required legal tolerances throughout the recorded period. The vehicle exhibits an unusually low usage profile for an eight-year-old car, with a total recorded mileage of only 11,118 miles. This equates to an average annual accumulation of approximately 1,390 miles, which is significantly lower than typical UK driving patterns. While low mileage generally implies less wear on mechanical consumables such as brake discs, pads, and suspension bushes, such infrequent use can also mean the vehicle has spent extended periods stationary. Long-term inactivity can occasionally lead to issues with seals drying out or fluid stagnation, though no specific defects related to these factors have been flagged in the official DVSA history. Given the lack of recorded advisories, there are no specific component failures to target for inspection; however, the low mileage profile warrants a focused physical check of the vehicle's operational readiness. During a test drive, pay close attention to the smoothness of the gear changes and the absence of any unusual vibrations through the steering wheel or floorpan, which could indicate issues not captured by the MOT's static or low-speed testing. Listen for any irregular knocks or clunks when traversing uneven surfaces, as this would indicate wear in the suspension linkages or bushings that may have been affected by periods of inactivity. Further attention should be directed toward the braking system and tyre condition. While the MOT records show no issues with brake linings or discs, a buyer should check for any pedal sponginess or judder under braking, which could suggest moisture ingress or uneven pad deposition. Additionally, because the vehicle has covered such low distances, the tread depth may appear sufficient, but it is essential to inspect the sidewalls for any signs of age-related cracking or perishing that could compromise the structural integrity of the tyres despite their high remaining tread.
