2006 Volkswagen Passat 1.9L Diesel · AD06 XXK

The 2006 Volkswagen Passat presents a stable and clean roadworthiness profile. The most recent test on 21 March 2025 at 99,225 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken four-year sequence of passes with no advisories or failures logged by the DVSA. Annual mileage sits well below typical averages for a two-decade-old vehicle. From the 24 February 2022 test at 87,830 miles to the 21 March 2025 test at 99,225 miles, the car covered just 11,395 miles across three years, equating to roughly 3,800 miles per year. The record shows no gaps or sudden accumulation spikes; each test falls within a consistent 12 to 13 month window with steady low use. Such sparse, clean data points to a lightly driven car, though prolonged standing periods can allow corrosion and perished rubber components to develop unseen. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and subframe structural integrity given the vehicle's 2006 build date and potential for moisture-related degradation during idle spells. The brake discs and calipers warrant measurement for lip wear and seizure, as low annual mileage often masks binding from infrequent use rather than indicating fresh condition. No recurring mechanical faults or advisories appear in the supplied history, so no worsening trend exists to flag. The absence of recorded defects implies prior owners addressed issues pre-test or the car remained fundamentally sound, but the MOT record alone cannot confirm underbody rust or intermittent electrical faults absent from the tester's notes.
