2022 Toyota Proace City Design 1.5L Diesel · AE72 XVN

The 2022 Toyota Proace City Design presents a stable, albeit sparse, mechanical record with a clean bill of health at its most recent assessment. On 22 November 2025 at 48,795 miles, the vehicle passed with zero defects recorded. Curiously, the preceding day's test on 21 November 2025 at the identical mileage resulted in a failure, yet no defects were logged for that attempt. This anomaly suggests an aborted test or a data entry error rather than a sudden mechanical fault, as the subsequent pass occurred without any recorded rectification. The maintenance trend currently stands as stable, with no recurring mechanical or structural issues flagged in the official DVSA record. The recorded mileage of 48,795 miles equates to an annual accumulation of roughly 12,199 miles, which sits at the higher end of the spectrum for a four-year-old vehicle. This rate of wear implies sustained commercial or long-distance use rather than short urban commutes. The MOT history shows no significant mileage gaps or rapid, unexplained spikes between the recorded tests, indicating consistent utilization. High-mileage vehicles of this nature typically exhibit accelerated wear on consumables and drivetrain components, even if the official record remains clean. Despite the clean MOT outcome, a physical inspection remains essential given the vehicle's age and mileage. Buyers should scrutinize the condition of the brake discs and pads, as high-mileage commercial vans often suffer from lipping or uneven wear that might not trigger an MOT failure threshold. Suspension bushes and coil springs require close examination for deterioration, alongside a thorough check of the tyre sidewalls for cracking or uneven wear patterns. The exhaust system and catalytic converter should be assessed for corrosion or emissions anomalies, particularly if the van has spent its life on salted roads or making frequent short trips.
