2008 Ford Transit 2.4L Diesel · AG08 NCE

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, having maintained clean passes across the last three annual inspections. The most recent test conducted in November 2022 at 225,563 miles resulted in no defects or advisories, indicating that the vehicle met all minimum safety standards at that time. This follows a period of consistent performance since 2019, suggesting that the previous owners addressed necessary mechanical requirements to keep the van in service without recurring structural failures. At 225,563 miles over 18 years, this Transit has covered a significant distance averaging approximately 12,500 miles per annum. The data shows consistent usage patterns, with a jump of 5,167 miles recorded between September 2020 and November 2021, and another 6,362 miles between November 2021 and November 2022. While the high mileage places considerable strain on the drivetrain and suspension components, the lack of advisories in the later records suggests the vehicle has not been subjected to neglect or long periods of stationary standing. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on high-wear components typical of high-mileage commercial vans. Given the age and distance, the structural integrity of the chassis must be scrutinized for hidden corrosion, particularly around the mounting points and wheel arches. Although the MOT history is clean, the high mileage increases the likelihood of worn suspension bushes, perished shock absorbers, and thinning of brake discs or pads. Since the last recorded test was over three years ago, a thorough check of fluid leaks and tyre sidew condition is essential to ensure no significant degradation has occurred since the November 2022 certification.
