2011 Volvo XC60 2.0L Diesel · AJ11 VKA

The Volvo XC60 presents a currently roadworthy status following its most recent test on 24 April 2025 at 96,363 miles, where it passed with no defects recorded. The maintenance trend appears stable across the available history, with the only blemishes being two administrative failures on 18 January 2023 at 81,173 miles and again on 24 April 2025 at 96,363 miles, both of which carried no recorded defects and were immediately cleared by a pass on the same day. This pattern indicates the vehicle was not taken off the road for mechanical rectification but likely failed on documentation or presentation grounds before re-test. Mileage accumulation sits at a typical level for a 15-year-old vehicle, averaging roughly 6,424 miles per year against the 96,363 miles recorded. The gap between the 7 May 2024 test at 84,358 miles and the January 2023 pass at 81,193 miles shows about 3,165 miles covered over fifteen months, then a sharper 12,005-mile jump to the 2025 test. The record is sparse and clean, with no advisories logged on any pass, so we have no flagged wear on tyres, brakes, suspension bushes, or corrosion to track across the timeline. A buyer should still commission an in-person inspection of structural integrity and underbody corrosion given the vehicle's age and the absence of any advisory data in the record, as testers may simply have omitted minor items. The twin same-day fail-and-pass entries suggest the keeper presented the car without resolving a non-mechanical blocker, which implies basic familiarity with test procedure but tells us nothing about consumable condition. Verify the brake discs, coil springs, and exhaust emissions independently before purchase, since the MOT offers no evidence of wear or failure on these components across the lifespan.
