2016 Volkswagen Polo 1.0L Petrol · AJ65 GVK

The 2016 Volkswagen Polo presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 20 February 2026 at 96,463 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken sequence of clean MOT outcomes across the available history. Annual mileage sits close to the typical 9,646 per year for a ten-year-old car. The records show 76,512 miles at the 27 April 2022 test, then 89,473 by 9 March 2023, 90,753 by 15 March 2024, 91,810 by 17 March 2025, and 96,463 by February 2026. The largest single jump came between spring 2022 and spring 2023, adding roughly 13,000 miles, after which annual accumulation settled to around 1,000 to 5,000 miles. No standing periods or missing test years appear in the data, and every entry carries a zero-defect result. A clean MOT sheet across five consecutive tests implies the previous keeper addressed wear before each examination and kept consumables within limits. No advisories for suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs, corrosion, or exhaust emissions were ever raised, which suggests structural integrity and mechanical condition have been maintained rather than patched. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection despite the fault-free record. Ten years of use can hide incipient wear not yet at MOT threshold, particularly in suspension arm bushes, subframe corrosion, and brake caliper operation. Verify service history, check tyre sidewall condition, and confirm the low 2025 to 2026 mileage gain of 4,653 miles reflects normal use rather than prolonged storage.
