2016 Vauxhall Zafira Tourer Design 1.4L Other · AJ65 OSZ

The vehicle demonstrates stable roadworthiness with no defects recorded in its most recent MOT on 2025-11-27 at 104,390 miles. However, a failed test on 2025-11-17 at 104,256 miles—also with no defects recorded—raises questions about the accuracy of the assessment. The prior tests from 2024-11-06 (92,961 miles) and 2023-11-02 (82,078 miles) were passed without issues, indicating a consistent maintenance pattern. The lack of recorded defects in recent tests suggests the vehicle has been well-maintained, though the November 2025 failure without explanation warrants scrutiny. The mileage progression aligns with typical usage for a 10-year-old vehicle, averaging 10,439 miles annually. A significant jump of 11,329 miles between the 2024-11-06 test (92,961 miles) and the 2025-11-27 test (104,390 miles) suggests increased activity in the final year, which could accelerate wear on components like tyres, brakes, and suspension. The absence of recurring issues in earlier tests implies no systemic faults, but the high mileage at the latest test may necessitate closer inspection of drivetrain and exhaust systems. Buyers should prioritise checking the suspension for worn bushes or coil springs, as well as the braking system for uneven wear or corrosion on discs. The absence of structural corrosion reports is positive, but a thorough underbody inspection is advised. Given the recent failed MOT with no recorded defects, verifying the vehicle’s service history and seeking a professional inspection for potential undetected issues is recommended. Overall, the MOT record reflects a mechanically sound vehicle, though the November 2025 failure remains unexplained.
