2021 Land Rover Discovery SPT Rdyn S+ D Mhev A 2.0L Diesel · AJ71 AXN

The vehicle passed its most recent MOT on 11 September 2025 at 25,445 miles with no recorded defects. This outcome follows the previous test in September 2024 where the front and rear brake discs showed wear and pitting and the rear pads were thin. The absence of any advisories at the latest test indicates that the brake wear issues have either been remedied or have not progressed to a failure level, marking an improving maintenance trend. Overall mileage of 25,445 miles over roughly five model years is low, suggesting limited prior use. However, the increase from 17,532 miles in September 2024 to 25,445 miles ten months later represents an accumulation of nearly 8,000 miles in a short period, which is atypical for a vehicle of this age. The 12‑month interval between MOTs is standard, but the recent mileage surge points to heavier recent utilisation or possible test‑run mileage. A prospective buyer should closely inspect the braking system, checking the front and rear discs for scoring, pitting or uneven wear, and verifying that the rear pads retain adequate thickness. Suspension bushes and coil springs should be examined for corrosion or excessive play, as low‑mileage vehicles can still develop corrosion if stored improperly. Additionally, a thorough visual survey for rust around wheel arches, underbody panels and the exhaust mounting points will reveal any structural degradation that the MOT may have missed.
