2018 Bullit Hunt 250 0.2L Petrol · AK18 LRF

This vehicle’s most recent MOT test on 2025-02-08 confirms full roadworthiness at just 509 miles, with no defects or advisories recorded. The absence of any failures across three consecutive tests—including the latest within the past 17 months—indicates a stable maintenance record, though the extremely low mileage raises questions about genuine usage rather than mechanical condition. The lack of recurring advisories or defects suggests no hidden structural or mechanical degradation, but the prolonged inactivity demands scrutiny of components prone to static deterioration, such as tyres, suspension seals, and battery health. The recorded mileage progression—291 miles in May 2022, 358 miles in May 2023, and 509 miles by February 2025—reveals a pattern of negligible usage, averaging just 64 miles annually. Such minimal movement over nearly eight years is atypical for a vehicle of this type and suggests extended periods of storage. While this reduces wear on high-mileage components like brakes or drivetrain, it also increases risks associated with prolonged immobility, including flat-spotted tyres, degraded suspension bushes, and potential corrosion from moisture accumulation in wheel arches or underbody areas. Given the lack of MOT defects, the primary focus for an in-person inspection should centre on the effects of static storage. Examine the tyres for uneven wear or permanent deformation, and check suspension bushes and coil springs for perished rubber or corrosion-induced stiffness. The brakes, though not flagged, may require assessment for dust accumulation or binding calipers if the vehicle has been stationary for extended periods. Additionally, inspect the battery for sulfation, the fuel system for stale fuel or water contamination, and the underbody for signs of corrosion or water ingress, particularly around the exhaust and suspension mounts. The absence of MOT advisories does not preclude these issues, which are more likely given the vehicle’s inactivity.
