2002 CCM R 30 Supermoto 0.6L Petrol · AO02 UGU

The vehicle’s most recent MOT test on 2025-05-09 confirms it remains roadworthy, with no defects or advisories recorded across five consecutive annual tests. This consistency suggests the vehicle has been maintained at a basic level, though the lack of any warnings—even minor—implies either diligent oversight or a history of deferred upkeep that has yet to manifest in visible failures. The absence of recurring faults in the MOT history does not rule out latent issues, particularly given the vehicle’s age and the negligible mileage, but it does indicate no immediate cause for concern based on official test data. The recorded mileage of just 1 mile over 24 years—roughly 0.04 miles per year—is unusually low for a vehicle of this age. Such minimal usage could point to prolonged storage, which may accelerate deterioration in components like suspension bushes, coil springs, and rubber seals due to prolonged exposure to static loads and environmental factors. The gap between the 2022-05-06 failure (with no defects noted) and the subsequent 2022-05-09 pass suggests either a retest or a brief period of non-use before the next annual check. This pattern does not reveal aggressive wear but raises questions about whether critical fluids (brake, coolant, transmission) were serviced or if the battery was maintained during these inactive periods. Given the vehicle’s age and the near-absence of mileage, a buyer should prioritise an inspection of structural integrity, particularly around the frame rails and subframe mounts, where corrosion or fatigue could develop even without heavy use. The suspension—especially the rear coil springs and bushes—should be examined for dry rot or excessive play, as these components degrade over time regardless of distance travelled. Brake discs and calipers warrant close scrutiny for uneven wear or binding, though the MOT history offers no red flags. Finally, the electrical system, including the battery and wiring loom, should be tested, as prolonged inactivity can lead to corrosion or failure in connectors. The lack of MOT advisories does not guarantee these areas are sound, but they represent the highest-risk areas for a vehicle with such minimal recorded usage.
