2008 Renault Megane 1.5L Diesel · AV58 NSO

The vehicle presents a stable maintenance profile with a clean MOT history leading up to the most recent test. The August 2025 pass at 74,474 miles indicates the car is currently in a roadworthy state with no recorded defects. The failure recorded on 14 August 2025 at 74,356 miles is an anomaly in an otherwise consistent record, as no specific defects were documented for that failure, suggesting a minor non-compliance was rectified quickly before the subsequent pass. The mileage accumulation is notably low for an 18-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 4,137 miles per year. The data shows a steady, predictable increase in distance covered, moving from 64,193 miles in September 2022 to 74,474 miles in August 2025. This low annual mileage suggests the vehicle has seen light usage, which generally results in less wear on the drivetrain and engine components compared to high-mileage counterparts. While the MOT history shows no recurring mechanical or structural issues, the low usage pattern warrants a physical inspection of components that degrade through age rather than distance. Rubber elements such as suspension bushes, drive belts, and tyre sidewalls may show signs of perishing or cracking despite the low mileage. A buyer should specifically check for any signs of corrosion on the underside or exhaust system, as vehicles that spend long periods stationary can develop surface rust. The lack of advisories regarding brake discs or pads across the recorded years is a positive indicator of consistent upkeep. However, because the vehicle has covered relatively little ground, it is prudent to verify that the braking system is free from seized calipers or binding issues that can arise from infrequent use. Overall, the documented history reflects a vehicle that has been maintained sufficiently to pass annual inspections without significant mechanical deterioration.
