2014 Citroen C1 1.0L Petrol · BJ14 ACY

This Citroen C1 presents a stable roadworthiness profile with a consistent pass rate. The most recent MOT on 13 March 2026 at 39,482 miles resulted in a clean pass with no defects recorded. This follows a pattern of clean tests dating back to March 2023, indicating a vehicle that has been maintained to a standard that satisfies DVSA requirements without recurring mechanical failures. The mileage is exceptionally low for a twelve year old vehicle, averaging roughly 3,290 miles per year. The distance covered between tests has remained steady and low, with 1,879 miles added between March 2023 and March 2024, and only 879 miles added in the final year leading up to the March 2026 test. Such low usage suggests the car has lived a sheltered life, though it also raises the possibility of periods of prolonged standing. The absence of advisories regarding brake discs, suspension bushes, or corrosion across multiple years is unusual for a vehicle of this age. While the record is clean, a buyer should physically inspect the tyres and brake pads for age-related cracking or surface corrosion. Low-mileage cars often suffer from perished rubber components or seizing calipers due to inactivity rather than wear. A manual check of the battery health and fluid levels is recommended. The record shows a failure and immediate pass on 6 March 2024 at 36,632 miles, though the specific defect was not detailed in the summary. Given the lack of structural or mechanical red flags in the data, the primary risk is the degradation of consumables that have not been replaced due to low mileage.
