2016 Honda Civic 2.0L Petrol · BM16 TMU

A consistent record of clean roadworthiness defines this vehicle, with the most recent MOT passed on 18 May 2026 showing no recorded defects. This lack of failures or advisories across the documented history suggests a stable mechanical status regarding the components inspected by the DVSA, as there are no recurring issues with emissions, lighting, or structural integrity noted in the recent testing cycle. The recorded mileage of 105,132 miles for a 2016 model indicates a usage pattern of approximately 10,500 miles per year, which aligns with typical UK average annual driving distances. This level of consistent use means that while the vehicle has not been subjected to excessive high-speed motorway mileage, the mechanical components such as suspension bushes, braking systems, and drivetrain elements will have experienced regular, predictable wear consistent with a decade of service. Given the absence of specific advisories in the latest test, a physical inspection should focus on verifying the current state of consumables that are not always the primary focus of an MOT. During a test drive, pay close attention to the steering response and listen for any dull knocks or clunks when traversing uneven surfaces, which could indicate the onset of wear in the suspension linkages or coil springs. Any vibration through the brake pedal or steering wheel during deceleration should be investigated as a potential sign of disc or pad wear. The engine bay and underside should also be checked for any signs of fluid weeping or oil misting that may have developed since the last inspection. While the MOT record is clear, checking for any uneven tyre wear or slight pulling to one side during straight-line driving will help confirm that the wheel alignment and suspension geometry remain within specification.
