2016 Ford Mondeo 1.5L Petrol · BU16 KWJ

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile based on the latest inspection data. The most recent test on 16 December 2025 at 38,358 miles passed with no defects, indicating that the car currently meets minimum safety standards. While a failure was recorded on 19 December 2024, the immediate pass one day later suggests that the owner addressed the identified issue promptly. Since that period, the vehicle has maintained a clean testing record without any recurring mechanical failures or structural degradation. The mileage pattern is notably low for a ten-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 3,800 miles per year. Data shows consistent annual usage, with the car progressing from 26,186 miles in December 2022 to 38,358 miles by the end of 2025. This low-mileage profile typically implies less wear on the drivetrain components and suspension compared to high-mileage counterparts. However, low-frequency use can sometimes lead to the degradation of rubber components or perish of brake fluid if the vehicle sits stationary for extended periods. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on components affected by age and inactivity rather than just mileage. Check the brake discs for surface pitting or corrosion, as low use often leads to rust on the rotors. Examine the suspension bushes and tyre sidewalls for cracking or drying, as these materials age over a decade regardless of how many miles the Mondeo has traveled. Given the clean history since the last failure, the structural integrity appears well-maintained, provided there is no hidden rust on the undercarriage.
