2016 Volvo XC60 2.4L Diesel · C144 ARK

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, maintaining a consistent pass record over the last three years. The most recent test on 31 October 2025 resulted in a clean pass, indicating that the car currently meets all safety and emissions standards. While a failure was recorded on 19 October 2024, the immediate retest pass on the same day suggests the owner was proactive in rectifying the identified defect without allowing the issue to persist. At 106,415 miles, this XC60 has averaged approximately 10,600 miles per year, which aligns closely with the national average for a ten-year-old vehicle. The records show a consistent usage pattern, with tests performed annually between November 2022 and October 2025. This regularity suggests the vehicle has been in regular use rather than suffering from long periods of inactivity, which often leads to premature degradation of rubber components and seized brake calipers. Despite the clean results of the most recent inspections, a buyer should focus on high-wear areas typical for a Volvo of this age and mileage. Inspection should specifically target the front suspension assembly for worn control arm bushes and perished coil springs, as these often fail after the six-figure mile mark. Given the mileage, checking the brake discs for uneven wear or thinning and inspecting the underbody for signs of structural corrosion is essential, as these elements are not detailed in the digital MOT records.
