2022 Toyota Yaris Dynamic HEV CVT 1.5L Hybrid electric · C16 MAV

The vehicle remains technically roadworthy, though the maintenance trend shows signs of emerging degradation regarding braking components. While the most recent test in January 2026 at 29,627 miles resulted in a pass, it introduced concerns regarding pitted front brake discs on both the nearside and offside. This represents a shift from the clean record in early 2025, indicating that the braking surfaces are now reaching a stage of wear. The mileage pattern is consistent with typical low-to-moderate usage, averaging approximately 7,400 miles per year. Between the January 2025 test and the January 2026 test, the car covered 8,549 miles, suggesting a steady and regular usage cycle. This low mileage generally reduces the strain on the hybrid drivetrain and suspension components, though it can sometimes lead to surface corrosion on brake discs if the vehicle is frequently used for short city trips without significant braking events. A physical inspection should focus on the front braking system to determine the depth of the scoring on the discs. Given the pitting noted by the tester, the discs and pads may require replacement soon to ensure optimal performance and prevent noise. The deteriorated rear registration plate mentioned in the January 2026 report should also be addressed or replaced to ensure legal compliance, even though it did not cause an immediate failure. Beyond these items, the history suggests a well-maintained vehicle with no evidence of structural or recurring mechanical failure.
