2009 Citroen C1 1.0L Petrol · CA09 TKN

The 2009 Citroen C1 presents a stable and consistently maintained roadworthiness profile. The most recent MOT test on 6 November 2025 at 149,588 miles passed without recording a single defect or advisory. This clean sweep across the entire documented history indicates an absence of mechanical deterioration, suggesting the vehicle has remained fundamentally sound through its recent ownership. The annual mileage accumulation reveals a notable shift in usage patterns. Between October 2021 and October 2023, the vehicle covered a steady 8,407 and 9,384 miles respectively. However, the subsequent tests show a sharp increase in use, with 22,646 miles added between October 2023 and October 2024, followed by a further 17,662 miles by the November 2025 test. This rapid accumulation over the last two years contrasts sharply with the earlier, lighter usage, implying a transition to heavier commuting or long-distance driving. Despite the absence of flagged defects, the recent surge in mileage warrants a focused physical inspection of high-wear components. A buyer should closely examine the condition of the brake discs and pads, as sustained high-mileage driving accelerates consumable wear. Suspension bushes and coil springs require scrutiny for deterioration, given the vehicle's age and the increased mechanical stress of the last two years. A thorough underbody inspection is also prudent to check for corrosion on the exhaust system and structural components, ensuring the rapid recent use has not exacerbated any age-related rust.
