2022 Hyundai Kona Premium EV Electric · CF22 LCV

The most recent MOT test for the 2022 Hyundai Kona, conducted on 2025-07-09, resulted in a PASS, indicating that the vehicle met all regulatory standards at that time. However, reviewing the DVSA records reveals a clean history overall, which suggests a stable maintenance trajectory. The vehicle has been serviced regularly, and there are no persistent defects reported, supporting a reliable service record. This consistency is encouraging for a buyer seeking dependability, though it is always wise to verify the current condition during a hands-on inspection. The recorded mileage of 16,391 miles corresponds to approximately 4,098 miles per year, which is relatively low for a vehicle of this age. This suggests the car has experienced lighter usage or has been parked for extended periods, potentially reducing wear on critical systems such as the suspension, brakes, and drivetrain. However, the low mileage also means that components like the tyres, battery, and fluids may have aged more than expected, so inspecting these areas thoroughly is essential. For a buyer evaluating this vehicle, it is important to focus on practical checks that align with its age and usage profile. Examine the tyres closely for any signs of perishing or uneven wear patterns, which can indicate alignment issues or excessive load. Check the brake discs for any corrosion or binding in the calipers, as these can affect stopping performance and should be addressed promptly. The 12V battery should be tested for health and capacity, especially if the car has been left parked for long durations. Additionally, verify that all fluid levels are within specification and that service book stamps are present to confirm regular maintenance. Given the clean MOT history, these inspections will help ensure the vehicle remains roadworthy over time.
