2011 Volkswagen Passat 1.6L Diesel · CK61 OBL

The vehicle currently holds a roadworthy status with a stable and improving maintenance trend. The most recent test conducted on 17 July 2025 at 104,661 miles passed with no defects recorded, indicating that previous mechanical or compliance issues have been addressed. While the history shows failures in both 2023 and 2024, the subsequent clean passes suggest that the current owner is proactive in rectifying faults identified by the DVSA. The mileage pattern is remarkably consistent for a 15-year-old vehicle, reflecting an average of approximately 7,000 miles per year. Between the July 2023 test at 84,536 miles and the July 2024 test at 96,953 miles, the car covered 12,417 miles, followed by another 7,708 miles in the final year. This regularity suggests consistent use rather than long periods of standing, which helps prevent the degradation of seals and rubber components associated with stationary vehicles of this age. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on the components that caused the failures in 2023 and 2024, although the record does not specify the exact nature of those defects. Given the age of the Passat, it is vital to inspect the structural integrity of the chassis and check the suspension bushes for wear, as these are common points of failure on this model. The buyer should also check for signs of weeping brake calipers or excessive corrosion on the underbody to ensure the recent clean MOT results reflect long-term mechanical health.
