2012 Nissan March 1.2L Petrol · CT12 NFE

The Nissan March presents a stable and consistently clean maintenance trend. The most recent MOT on 11 November 2025 at 62,117 miles passed with zero advisories or defects. This is not an isolated result. The preceding three tests, spanning from January 2023 through November 2024, also recorded completely clean passes. A four-year unbroken streak of defect-free MOTs indicates diligent routine servicing and a lack of recurring mechanical faults. The mileage pattern reveals a vehicle that has been used sparingly. Between the January 2023 test at 56,606 miles and the November 2025 test at 62,117 miles, the car covered just 5,511 miles over nearly three years. That equates to roughly 1,837 miles annually during that window, a significant drop from the vehicle's lifetime average of approximately 4,437 miles per year. The record shows a modest 209-mile gap between October 2023 and January 2023, likely reflecting a short testing window rather than a data anomaly. The low recent mileage suggests the car may have been largely stationary for extended periods, which carries its own mechanical implications. Despite the clean MOT record, a prospective buyer must consider the risks associated with prolonged inactivity. A vehicle sitting for long intervals can develop flat-spotted tyres, seized brake calipers, degraded rubber bushes, and corroded brake discs. The battery may also suffer from chronic undercharging. A thorough in-person inspection should focus on the condition of all four tyres for sidewall cracking and uneven wear, and the braking system should be tested for binding or uneven braking effort. Suspension bushes and exhaust components should be checked carefully for corrosion, particularly if the car has been stored outdoors or in damp conditions. The clean MOT history is encouraging, but the low recent mileage demands a physical inspection to confirm the car has not deteriorated through neglect.
