2015 Yamaha XVS 0.9L Petrol · CV15 FKX

The Yamaha XVS presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend, evidenced by the most recent DVSA test on 19 March 2025 at 13,358 miles returning a clean pass with no defects recorded. Across four consecutive annual examinations from 2022 to 2025 the machine cleared every test first time, showing no advisories or mechanical faults and indicating consistent regulatory compliance by the previous keeper. The recorded mileage reflects exceptionally light use for an eleven-year-old 2015 machine. The odometer advanced only 1,076 miles across the full four-year MOT span, from 12,282 miles at the 4 March 2022 test to 13,358 miles by March 2025, averaging roughly 1,214 miles per year. Such low accumulation points to short local rides or extended standing periods rather than neglected high-mileage punishment, though the sparse history offers no insight into intermediate servicing between tests. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection focused on age-related degradation that MOT snapshots omit. Prolonged inactivity risks perished suspension bushes, flat-spotted tyres, and corroded brake discs or calipers despite the clean passes. The examiner noted no structural rust or exhaust emissions failures, yet standing storage commonly hides seepage from fork seals and hardened coolant hoses invisible at a roadside test. Given the unbroken pass record and minimal wear, this XVS shows signs of careful, if infrequent, ownership. Verify the bike starts cold without hesitation and confirm chain tension and lubrication, as low mileage often masks deferred consumable maintenance rather than mechanical distress.
