2020 Toyota Yaris 1.5L Petrol · CV20 MOF

This 2020 Toyota Yaris presents a clean MOT record with zero defects across all four recorded tests, indicating a stable and well-maintained condition through to the most recent test on 5 September 2025 at 15,521 miles. The maintenance trend is stable, with no recurring faults, advisories, or failures appearing at any point in the vehicle's history. A completely clear result on the latest test suggests no active mechanical or structural deterioration at that mileage. The mileage accumulation is notably low for a six-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 2,587 miles per year. Between the September 2024 test at 12,804 miles and the September 2025 test at 15,521 miles, the car covered 2,717 miles over twelve months. Earlier intervals show similarly modest use, with just 287 miles covered between June and September 2023. The record is sparse in terms of data points, yet every entry is a clean pass with no defects, which is consistent with a vehicle that has seen light, regular use rather than prolonged standing. Despite the clean paperwork, a buyer should still carry out a physical inspection focused on components that low-mileage use can mask. Extended periods of inactivity can cause brake discs to surface-corrode, tyres to develop flat spots or age-related sidewall cracking, and suspension bushes to perish without significant mileage. The underbody and subframe should be checked for corrosion, particularly around mounting points and brake lines, as short trips accelerate moisture retention and rust formation. The exhaust system and catalytic converter should also be inspected for internal condensation-related corrosion, which is common on vehicles used predominantly for short, low-speed journeys. Mechanically, the absence of advisories means no tester has flagged binding calipers, worn track rod ends, deteriorated coil springs, or fluid leaks at any recorded interval. Still, a test drive should confirm smooth brake pedal feel, no pulling under firm braking, and clean engagement of the clutch and gearbox. Given the exceptionally low mileage, verifying that the engine reaches full operating temperature regularly and that the DPF, if fitted, completes regeneration cycles without issue would be prudent. The record inspires confidence, but hands-on verification remains essential.
