2016 Suzuki Vitara 1.6L Diesel · CX66 MYR

The 2016 Suzuki Vitara presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 8 September 2025 at 45,774 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, and the three preceding annual tests also passed cleanly. The only blemish is a failed test on 11 September 2023 at 33,858 miles, reversed two days later on 13 September 2023 at 33,863 miles with no defects listed, which points to an administrative or retest correction rather than a mechanical fault. Recorded mileage sits at 45,774 against a ten-year-old vehicle, an average of roughly 4,577 miles per year. The DVSA data shows 28,879 miles in September 2022, 33,863 by September 2023, 38,949 by September 2024, and 45,774 by September 2025. Annual accumulation holds steady near 5,000 to 7,000 miles, with no gaps or sudden jumps. Low overall use of this type often means lighter wear on drivetrain and suspension bushes but raises the risk of perished seals, flat-spotted tyres, or corrosion from prolonged standing if storage was poor. The clean advisory history across all passes gives no flagged items for brake discs, coil springs, exhaust emissions, or structural integrity. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection beneath the sills and subframe for hidden rust, check suspension arms for cracked bushes, and confirm the braking system is free from binding calipers after the long idle periods implied by low mileage. Given the absence of recorded defects and the consistent test passes, the vehicle's upkeep appears disciplined. The 2023 failure with no defects logged suggests clerical error, not deferred maintenance. Verify service records match the low mileage to rule out odometer inconsistency before purchase.
