2007 Volkswagen Polo 1.2L Petrol · DA07 FZH

The Volkswagen Polo presents as roadworthy following its most recent MOT pass on 16 March 2026 at 61,790 miles, with the maintenance trend appearing stable across the recorded history. The March 2026 test cycle shows a fail and pass on the same day at identical mileage with no defects logged, indicating an administrative rejection rather than a mechanical fault. Prior annual tests in March 2025, March 2024, and March 2023 all passed cleanly with no advisories raised on suspension, brakes, exhaust, or structure. Recorded mileage sits at 61,790 against a 2007 build, averaging roughly 3,250 miles per year. The holder covered 4,448 miles between the March 2023 test at 47,790 and the March 2024 test at 53,103, then 4,238 to March 2025 at 57,341, and 4,449 to the March 2026 figure. This is consistent low use with no standing gaps or sudden accumulation. The clean advisory sheet across five years suggests the previous owner kept basic consumable and structural checks in order, though sparse commentary means hidden wear is not ruled out. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of coil springs, suspension bushes, and subframe corrosion given the vehicle's nineteen years. The MOT record never flagged brake discs or calipers, yet low annual mileage often masks seized handbrake mechanisms and surface rust on brake lines. Verify the March 2026 same-day fail was clerical by checking the V5C and DVSA portal before purchase. Tyres and wiper blades show no recorded wear items, but rubber ages irrespective of miles. Inspect sidewall cracking and screen wash function on viewing. The Polo's history supports a sound used buy, provided an independent mechanic confirms underside integrity.
