2004 Nissan Micra 1.2L Petrol · DA54 BVG

The vehicle currently holds a failed roadworthiness status. The most recent and only recorded test on 9 November 2021 at 86,515 miles resulted in a failure with no defects itemised by the tester. This single entry offers no maintenance trend to assess as stable, worsening, or improving; the absence of recorded defects alongside a fail suggests an administrative or unlogged fault condition rather than a clean mechanical pass. The Micra shows 86,515 miles against a 2004 build date, equating to roughly 3,932 miles per year. That is low annual use for a 22-year-old car. The record jumps from no prior tests straight to the November 2021 failure at 86,515 miles, leaving a large documentary gap across the vehicle's early life. Low mileage paired with a long standing period often hides perished rubber components and corrosion while masking suspension and brake wear. A buyer must treat the 2021 failure as unresolved. DVSA data shows no subsequent pass, so the car may remain unroadworthy or simply untaxed and off the road. Inspect the V5C and ask for proof of any post-2021 rectification work before assuming the defect was fixed. In person, check structural integrity for chassis rust given the age and likely outdoor storage. Test suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs for binding calipers or seized handbrake mechanisms after long inactivity. Confirm exhaust emissions and tyre condition meet current standards, as a four-year-plus gap since test leaves all consumables suspect.
