2012 Vauxhall Zafira 1.6L Petrol · DA62 OBF

The most recent MOT on 30 March 2026 at 50,770 miles was passed with no defects recorded, indicating that the Vauxhall Zafira currently meets all legal roadworthiness requirements. All previous tests from February 2022 through March 2026 show a consistent pass outcome, with no defects noted at any point, demonstrating a stable maintenance record and no evidence of worsening mechanical condition. The mileage trajectory, rising from 29,397 miles in February 2022 to 50,770 miles in March 2026, averages roughly 3,600 miles per year, well below the typical 7,500‑8,000 miles expected for a 14‑year‑old vehicle. The incremental increases—3,378 miles in 2022‑23, 4,491 miles in 2023‑24, 5,792 miles in 2024‑25 and 6,712 miles in 2025‑26—suggest a gradual rise in usage rather than abrupt high‑stress periods, and the absence of any intervening MOT failures or advisories supports the view that the car has been regularly maintained. A buyer should therefore focus on components that commonly deteriorate with age despite low mileage. Inspection of the suspension bushes, coil springs and shock absorbers is advisable, as these parts can become brittle or corroded over time. The condition of the brake discs, pads and calipers should be examined, noting that even low‑mileage vehicles may exhibit binding or uneven wear if the system has been idle. Particular attention should be given to structural rust on the chassis, wheel arches and underbody, as well as the integrity of the exhaust system and any previous corrosion‑related advisories. Finally, the buyer ought to verify fluid condition, tyre tread depth and wiper blade wear, which are consumable items that may have been neglected during periods of low use, and confirm that no hidden structural damage or previous repair work compromises the vehicle’s long‑term reliability.
