2012 Ford Fiesta 1.6L Petrol · DE02 RAT

The 2012 Ford Fiesta passed its most recent MOT on 13 September 2021 at 71,822 miles with no defects recorded, leaving the maintenance trend neither improving nor worsening but simply static due to a single clean result. This test now stands roughly four years and ten months old against today's date, so the current roadworthiness cannot be confirmed from the official record alone. The odometer shows 71,822 miles against an approximate 14-year lifespan, equating to a low average of around 5,130 miles per year. The DVSA data contains only one entry, so no rapid accumulation or notable gaps between tests can be measured. A clean 2021 pass at that mileage suggests the previous keeper used the car lightly, though the absence of earlier records prevents judgement on long-term care patterns. A buyer should commission a fresh MOT or independent inspection before purchase, given the lapse since September 2021. Low annual mileage often masks perished suspension bushes, flat-spotted tyres, and corrosion on structural members from prolonged standing. The record flags no prior advisories on brake discs, coil springs, or exhaust emissions, but four years of untested service may have introduced binding calipers or worsening rust unseen by the tester. Treat the 71,822-mile figure as the last verified reading only. Confirm actual mileage, check for overdue servicing, and inspect underneath for structural integrity before committing funds.
