2007 Toyota Yaris 1.3L Petrol · DE07 UTO

The Toyota Yaris presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 4 December 2024 at 95,454 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded. The prior day, 3 December 2024 at 95,453 miles, the vehicle failed with no defects listed, which indicates an administrative or presentation issue at the testing station rather than a mechanical fault. Across the five tests from November 2021 to December 2024, the car cleared every examination without advisories, showing no worsening or recurring mechanical concerns. The recorded mileage sits at 95,454 against a 19-year-old chassis, averaging roughly 5,024 miles per year. The DVSA data shows light annual use: 86,838 miles in November 2021, 89,665 in November 2022, 93,204 in December 2023, and 95,453 the day before the final pass. That is under 3,000 miles added in the last three years. Low accumulation like this often means longer standing periods, which can let corrosion and perished rubber take hold even when the MOT stays clean. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake calipers for binding or seizing after the car's idle spells. The MOT history flags no structural integrity issues or exhaust emission failures, yet the absence of advisories across nineteen years is unusual and warrants a check for hidden rust on sills and subframes. Given the clean record and minimal mileage, previous owners likely kept basic upkeep current but may have skipped deeper checks on consumables like tyres and wiper blades during storage. Verify the 2024 failure-to-pass turnaround with the test centre paperwork before purchase.
