2020 Audi A1 1.0L Petrol · DF69 AHA

The vehicle most recently passed its MOT on 4 February 2026. The overall maintenance trend appears stable as the car has consistently passed its annual inspections without major failures. However, there is a persistent pattern of advisories relating to consumable wear, specifically regarding the braking system and tyre tread, which suggests a reactive rather than proactive approach to the replacement of wear-and-tear components. With a recorded mileage of 50,556 miles over approximately six years, the vehicle has averaged around 8,426 miles per year. This is considered typical usage for an Audi A1 of this vintage. This level of mileage indicates that the drivetrain and suspension components should remain in good health, provided the service intervals have been adhered to and the vehicle has not been subjected to excessive urban stop-start wear. A primary point of concern is the recurring advisory for tyres worn close to the legal limit, specifically noting wear on the edges of the front and rear tyres across multiple tests. This pattern often indicates incorrect wheel alignment or tracking issues, which can lead to premature tyre failure and degraded handling. During a test drive, the buyer should check for any pulling to one side and physically inspect the inner and outer shoulders of the tyres for uneven wear. If the tyres have not been recently replaced, a full four-wheel alignment is strongly recommended to prevent further accelerated wear. Furthermore, the MOT history shows repeated advisories for thin front brake pads between 2023 and 2024. While no failure was recorded, the persistence of this advisory suggests the pads were nearing the end of their service life for a prolonged period. The buyer must verify via the service history whether the brake pads and discs were replaced following the 2024 inspection. During the test drive, listen for any metallic grinding or high-pitched squealing and feel for any vibration or shudder through the brake pedal, which could indicate warped discs or heavily worn friction material.
