2012 Aprilia SL 750 Shiver 0.8L Petrol · DK12 AVL

The Aprilia SL 750 Shiver presents a stable roadworthiness status with no recorded defects across its four most recent MOT tests. The latest examination on 26 March 2025 at 13,500 miles returned a clean pass with no advisories, continuing an unbroken sequence of satisfactory results since 2022. The mileage pattern reflects exceptionally light use for a 2012 machine. The bike covered just 964 miles per year on average, rising from 10,905 miles at the 14 May 2022 test to 11,626 miles in May 2023, 12,661 miles in May 2024, and 13,500 miles by March 2025. No gaps or sudden accumulation appear; the annual increments stay under 1,000 miles throughout. Such low throughput suggests long stationary periods rather than regular riding. A clean MOT history offers no flagged faults for the buyer to chase, yet the sparse annual checks leave suspension bushes, fork seals, and brake calipers unverified for wear hidden by low mileage. Standing time commonly degrades rubber components and promotes corrosion on structural frames and exhaust systems without triggering test failures. Prospective buyers should physically inspect the chassis for rust, confirm brake disc condition, and check tyre sidewall cracking from age rather than abrasion. The recorded care implies a cautious owner, but the absence of advisories does not substitute for a hands-on examination of consumables and structural integrity.
