2016 Nissan Juke 1.2L Petrol · DP65 SJY

The vehicle is currently roadworthy, though the maintenance trend shows a shift toward minor mechanical wear components. The most recent test in May 2026 at 73,730 miles produced an advisory for a damaged offside track rod end ball joint dust cover. While this is a minor defect, it indicates that the steering components are beginning to age. This follows a completely clean record in June 2025, suggesting a period of good maintenance interrupted by emerging mechanical failures. The mileage pattern is consistent with a low-use vehicle, averaging approximately 7,373 miles per year over its ten-year life. Between January 2024 at 60,555 miles and May 2026 at 73,730 miles, the car covered 13,175 miles, showing steady but modest usage. This low mileage generally reduces strain on the drivetrain and engine, though the degradation of rubber components, like the dust cover seen in the latest test, can sometimes be attributed to age rather than high mileage. A buyer should focus their attention on the front suspension and braking system during a physical inspection. The history from 2023 noted thin front inner brake pads and a worn nearside front tyre; while these may have been addressed, the 2025 report of a non-excessive oil leak warrants a close look at the engine seals and sump area to ensure the leak has not worsened or become indicative of a gasket failure. Additionally, the damaged offside track rod end dust cover should be replaced promptly to prevent grit ingress into the joint, which would eventually lead to a premature and more costly failure of the steering assembly.
