2016 BMW 116 1.5L Diesel · DP66 REN

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile with a consistent history of passes over the last four years. The most recent test in September 2025 at 48,817 miles resulted in a pass with no defects recorded, following a momentary failure just one mile prior at 48,816 miles. This specific sequence suggests a minor technicality or sensor-related issue that was rectified immediately, as the subsequent clean sheet indicates the vehicle shows no ongoing mechanical degradation or recurring structural failures. The mileage pattern is notably low for a ten-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 4,882 miles per year. Between September 2022 at 28,041 miles and September 2025 at 48,817 miles, the car covered roughly 20,000 miles, indicating consistent short-distance use rather than long periods of inactivity. While low mileage generally reduces wear on drivetrain components and brake pads, it can occasionally lead to the degradation of rubber-based components, such as suspension bushes and tyres, due to age and lack of mechanical movement. Given the lack of recorded advisories in the MOT history, a physical inspection should focus on components typically affected by low-mileage age. A buyer should check for sidewall cracking on tyres and verify the condition of the brake discs for surface rust from infrequent use. Since the record has not flagged any corrosion or structural issues, inspecting the integrity of the chassis and underbody remains a standard precaution to ensure the low-mileage history matches the vehicle's physical reality.
