2011 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2L Petrol · F20 PTS

This Vauxhall Corsa has maintained a consistent MOT pass record with no defects recorded across five consecutive tests, the most recent of which occurred just over a year ago on 8 August 2025. The absence of advisories or failings suggests the vehicle has undergone regular, albeit minimal, maintenance without any recurring issues that would indicate neglect or impending failure. The tester’s clean bill of health in August 2025—at 28,516 miles—confirms the car remains roadworthy under current UK standards, though the lack of advisories does not preclude hidden wear in non-tested areas such as the drivetrain or interior components. The recorded mileage of 28,516 miles over a 15-year span equates to approximately 1,901 miles annually, a figure significantly lower than the average for its class. This pattern suggests the car has either been used sparingly or stored for extended periods, which may explain the minimal wear on high-mileage components like brakes or suspension. The consistent mileage increments—ranging from 405 to 515 miles between tests—rule out abrupt changes in usage, though the gap between the 2021 and 2022 tests (a full year) hints at a possible period of inactivity. Such low mileage could also mean deferred servicing, as owners may assume longevity due to limited usage rather than proactive upkeep. Given the clean MOT history, a buyer should prioritise an inspection of suspension integrity, particularly the condition of coil springs, bushes, and dampers, as these are prone to fatigue over time regardless of mileage. The brakes—though not flagged—should be assessed for uneven wear, binding calipers, or corrosion on the rear discs, which can develop even with light use. Corrosion checks are critical, especially around wheel arches, sills, and the subframe, as prolonged standing increases rust risk. Finally, the exhaust system warrants scrutiny for leaks or excessive rust, as emissions systems may degrade passively without mileage-induced stress. While the MOT record provides reassurance, these areas demand hands-on verification to confirm the car’s true condition beyond test-day standards.
