2006 BMW 3 Series 2.0L Diesel · FH06 WTN

The 2006 BMW 3 Series presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 4 September 2025 at 222,037 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken five-year sequence of clean MOT outcomes. Annual mileage has tracked close to the typical 11,100-mile average for a vehicle of this age. The records show 195,391 miles in September 2021, rising to 200,035 by September 2022, 207,207 in September 2023, 215,253 in September 2024, and 222,037 in September 2025. The yearly increments of roughly 5,000 to 7,000 miles indicate gentle use for a 20-year-old car. No gaps appear in the testing history and no advisories were ever raised across the five entries, which suggests the previous keeper kept the vehicle to a basic pass standard without deferred faults surfacing. A buyer should still commission an independent inspection before purchase. The absence of advisories does not confirm the condition of suspension bushes, coil springs, or brake discs at this mileage. High-mileage BMWs of this era are prone to subframe corrosion and worn rear trailing arm bushes that a visual MOT check may not flag until failure. Given the clean record, the risk profile is lower than average for a 222,000-mile saloon, but age-related perishing of rubber components and tired dampers remains plausible. Verify the service history matches the low annual use and check underneath for structural rust on sills and suspension mounts.
