2007 Vauxhall Zafira 1.9L Diesel · FL07 PZU

The 2007 Vauxhall Zafira presents a stable but stagnant maintenance trend, with the most recent MOT recorded on 26 July 2022 at 80,388 miles. The vehicle passed that test with no defects recorded, though a failed test on the exact same date and mileage without any logged defects presents an anomalous data entry. The maintenance trend remains stable, showing no recurring mechanical failures, yet the absence of any MOT records for the past four years means the current roadworthiness status is entirely unknown. A buyer must treat this vehicle as untested and unverified since mid-2022. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a nineteen-year-old vehicle, accumulating just 221 miles between July 2021 and July 2022, culminating in a total of 80,388 miles. This equates to roughly 4,231 miles per year, indicating either very light local use or prolonged periods of inactivity. Such minimal annual accumulation suggests the drivetrain and brakes have seen little wear, but extended sitting poses its own risks. A car standing for long durations suffers from deteriorated rubber components, stale fuel, and corrosion in the braking system and exhaust. Given the stagnant mileage and the four-year gap in testing, a thorough physical inspection is essential before any purchase. Prioritise checking the structural integrity of the underside for corrosion, as a vehicle sitting idle often suffers from surface rust on brake discs and deterioration of suspension bushes and rubber boots. Verify the condition of the tyres; the sidewalls will likely exhibit cracking from age rather than wear. Inspect the braking system for binding calipers and assess the exhaust system for corrosion. The engine and transmission should be evaluated for smooth operation after what appears to be a lengthy period of disuse.
