This Touareg’s latest MOT was a pass on 8 December 2025 with just over 111,600 miles recorded. The only point noted was a nail in the offside rear tyre. No structural, brake, or suspension defects were flagged, so on paper it left the test station in roadworthy condition. A pattern of tyre-related advisories is the clearest risk running through the history. In late 2023 there were multiple nails (including two in one rear tyre), then in 2024 both rear tyres were recorded as worn close to the legal limit, and now another nail appears in 2025. This suggests either routine driving through debris or an owner who postpones tyre replacement. Even if the tread depth is now deep enough, that puncture needs fixing and the spare should be checked. Don’t assume all tyres are healthy just because the car passed. The only structural failure across the whole record was a fractured nearside rear coil spring in December 2024, repaired the same day for the pass. There is no recurrence in the most recent test, so the repair appears to have held, but a broken spring at around 100,000 miles is not unusual on a heavy SUV.
