2013 Toyota Yaris 1.5L Hybrid electric (clean) · FV63 ADO

The 2013 Toyota Yaris presents a stable roadworthiness profile, with all five consecutive MOT tests from 2021 to 2025 recording no defects. The most recent test on 2025-11-14 at 33,147 miles confirmed compliance, indicating consistent maintenance. No recurring issues or escalating faults were noted across the six-year history, suggesting the vehicle has been well-kept. However, the absence of recorded defects does not preclude hidden wear, particularly in components not tested during MOTs, such as engine internals or transmission health. The vehicle’s mileage of 33,147 miles over 13 years equates to an average of 2,550 miles annually, significantly below the UK’s typical annual average. This low usage could reflect infrequent driving or prolonged periods of inactivity, which may affect fluid longevity and electrical systems. The MOT intervals align with annual testing, but the gap between the last test (2025-11-14) and today’s date (2026-07-20) exceeds the standard one-year validity, meaning the car is currently untested. This raises a cautionary note about its current compliance status. A physical inspection should prioritise suspension components, as low mileage can mask wear in bushings or coil springs due to lack of use. Brake systems, including calipers and discs, warrant scrutiny despite no recorded issues, as corrosion or uneven pad wear may develop in static conditions. Structural integrity should also be verified, as rust or panel damage could go unnoticed in a vehicle with minimal exposure to road salt or harsh weather. The clean MOT history is reassuring but does not eliminate the need for a detailed pre-purchase check.
