2021 Yamaha WR 0.5L Petrol · GX70 DLJ

The vehicle currently presents a questionable roadworthiness status following a failure on 25 March 2026 at just 2,680 miles. While the previous two inspections showed clean passes with no defects, the most recent result indicates a mechanical or regulatory failure that prevented certification. Because no specific defects were recorded in the failure entry, the maintenance trend has shifted from stable to a state requiring immediate attention before the vehicle can be considered compliant. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a five-year-old motorcycle, averaging approximately 536 miles per year. Between May 2023 and May 2024, the bike covered only 759 miles, while it added 780 miles in the two years leading up to the 2026 test. This pattern suggests the vehicle sits stationary for long periods or is used sporadically. While this reduces wear on the drivetrain and tyres, it often leads to issues such as flat spotting, fluid degradation, or the seizing of seals and components that do not correlate with high mileage. A buyer must verify the specific cause of the March 2026 failure, as the record does not detail the fault point. Given the low usage, a physical inspection should focus on brake-related issues such as corroded discs or seized caliper pistons, which frequently occur when bikes sit idle. Check the rubber components for cracking or perished hoses, and ensure the tyres have not degraded from age despite having deep tread depth. Without a clear explanation for the recent failure, the vehicle represents a high-risk purchase where the underlying mechanical reason remains unknown.
