2022 Toyota Aygo X Edge VVT-I 1.0L Petrol · HJ72 AEO

The vehicle’s most recent MOT on 2025-11-29 at 12,596 miles recorded a pass with no defects, indicating a stable maintenance trend. No prior records exist to establish a historical pattern, but the absence of issues in the latest test suggests the car has been well-maintained up to this point. The low mileage of 12,596 miles for a four-year-old vehicle implies infrequent use or potential periods of inactivity, which could affect components like suspension bushes or brake discs if not regularly exercised. The MOT was conducted just eight months after the car’s fourth anniversary, with no prior tests documented. This sparse record raises questions about whether the vehicle was registered later than its build date or if it was driven minimally before the 2025 test. The low annual mileage of 3,149 miles suggests the car may have been stored for extended periods, increasing the risk of dry rot in rubber components or corrosion in underbody areas. Buyers should verify if the mileage aligns with the vehicle’s actual usage and check for signs of neglect in non-MOT-covered systems. No structural or mechanical faults were flagged in the MOT, but the lack of historical data limits confidence in long-term reliability. A physical inspection should focus on suspension components, brake calipers, and exhaust system corrosion, as these are common issues in low-mileage vehicles left stationary. The absence of tyre tread warnings or brake wear advisories is positive, but buyers should confirm the condition of all four tyres and check for uneven wear, which could indicate alignment or suspension issues. Overall, the car appears roadworthy but requires careful scrutiny of its storage history and component integrity.
