2023 Harley-Davidson Road King Special 1868 23 1.9L Petrol · HO61 ASH

This Harley-Davidson Road King Special lacks any recorded MOT history, rendering a formal roadworthiness assessment impossible. Without test dates, advisories, or pass/fail outcomes, there is no evidence to determine whether the vehicle’s maintenance trend is stable, worsening, or improving. The absence of documentation also means critical components—such as suspension integrity, brake system condition, or exhaust emissions compliance—cannot be verified against regulatory standards. Buyers must treat this as a vehicle with no documented service or inspection record, leaving all mechanical and structural evaluations to a professional pre-purchase inspection. Mileage data is entirely absent, which complicates any assessment of usage patterns. A 2023 model with no MOT history suggests either the vehicle has never been tested—or, more critically, it may have been exempt from testing due to non-road use. If the bike has been ridden, the lack of mileage figures makes it impossible to gauge whether wear aligns with typical usage. Without even a single recorded service or inspection, there is no baseline to compare against industry norms for a vehicle of this age and type. Given the complete absence of MOT data, a buyer should prioritise an immediate, thorough inspection of high-risk areas. Focus on the suspension system—particularly coil springs, rear swingarm bushes, and steering head bearings—for signs of fatigue or misalignment. The braking system demands scrutiny: check for uneven wear on discs, binding calipers, or corrosion in the hydraulic lines, as these are common failure points on high-mileage or poorly maintained bikes. Structural integrity is another concern; inspect the frame for cracks, especially around welds and stress points, and examine the fuel system for leaks or corrosion, which are often overlooked but critical on motorcycles. The lack of any maintenance record implies a higher likelihood of deferred or neglected issues.
