2016 BMW 640 3.0L Diesel · J6 UJP

The 2016 BMW 640 presents a stable roadworthiness status with no recorded defects across its five most recent MOT tests. The October 2025 test at 48,399 miles passed with no advisories, continuing an unbroken clean record stretching back to the November 2021 examination at 34,768 miles. The maintenance trend is resolving and consistent, with no worsening mechanical flags or recurring faults in the official history. The mileage pattern reflects light use for a ten-year-old vehicle. Annual accumulation stayed low throughout the record: the tester logged 41,682 miles in November 2022, rising to 46,246 by November 2023, then 46,945 in October 2024, and 48,399 in October 2025. That equates to roughly 1,400 miles per year over the last three years and about 4,840 miles per year across the vehicle's life. No large gaps or sudden accumulation appear; the clean sheet across all entries suggests the previous keeper kept basic upkeep current rather than deferring consumable replacement. A buyer should still commission an in-person inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs given the low standing mileage, which can allow corrosion or perished rubber to develop unnoticed. The DVSA record shows no structural integrity concerns, exhaust emissions failures, or binding calipers, so no specific fault trend demands targeted investigation. Given the sparse but clean history, verify the odometer reading against service stamps and check for undertray corrosion or flat-spotted tyres from prolonged storage. The absence of advisories implies careful ownership, yet low mileage alone does not confirm drivetrain health without a physical examination.
