2017 Nissan Qashqai 1.5L Diesel · JD17 DUN

The vehicle currently holds a roadworthy status following a successful test on 10 March 2026 at 69,063 miles. While the most recent result shows no defects, the history indicates a period of instability in the last few months. The car failed two consecutive tests in early 2026 at 68,535 miles and 10 March 2026 at 69,062 miles before finally passing that same day. This suggests a specific mechanical or emissions-related issue was identified and rectified to bring the vehicle back to legal standards. The mileage pattern remains consistent with a nine-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 7,674 miles per annum. Between the March 2024 test at 51,291 miles and the February 2025 test at 59,671 miles, the car covered 8,380 miles in a year. The more recent jump of 9,392 miles between February 2025 and March 2026 indicates a slight increase in usage, coinciding with the recent failures. This steady mileage level suggests that wear on components components like suspension bushes and brake discs should follow standard aging profiles rather than high-stress patterns. A buyer must investigate the specific reasons for the two failures in early 2026, as the provided record does not detail the defects that triggered those results. Given the clean history prior to 2026, the focus should be on whether the recent repairs addressed a minor consumable or a deeper mechanical fault. A physical inspection of the structural integrity for corrosion and a check of the coil springs for fraying is advisable, as these are common areas of concern for the Qashai model at this mileage.
