2022 Kawasaki ZR 900 Knsbb 0.9L Petrol · K16 PBM

This Kawasaki ZR 900, tested most recently on 12 July 2025 at just 2,621 miles , achieved a clean pass with no defects recorded. The absence of advisories or failings in the single available MOT suggests the vehicle has not encountered any critical mechanical or structural issues during its brief service life. However, the test’s proximity to the current date—just 1 year and 124 days old —means no further inspection has occurred since. While this indicates a stable roadworthiness status at the time of testing, the lack of recent history prevents confirmation of ongoing maintenance beyond basic compliance. The recorded mileage of 2,621 miles over approximately four years —equivalent to 655 miles annually —is unusually low for a motorcycle of this age. Such minimal usage may imply prolonged storage, limited riding conditions, or deliberate underutilisation. There are no intermediate mileage readings to confirm whether the vehicle was ever actively ridden between tests, nor any evidence of rapid wear or accelerated component degradation. The sparse data makes it impossible to assess whether critical components like suspension bushes, chain tensioners, or throttle cables have been subject to prolonged inactivity, which could lead to stiffness or corrosion. Given the motorcycle’s age and the single MOT pass, a buyer should prioritise an in-person inspection of high-wear consumables —particularly the tyres (for uneven wear or dry-rotting) and chain/drive system (for lubrication and stretch) —despite the low mileage. The suspension linkages, steering bearings, and brake calipers should be checked for corrosion or binding, as prolonged storage can accelerate rust formation. Additionally, the fuel system (fuel lines, injectors, and seals) warrants scrutiny, as stagnant fuel can cause varnish buildup or component failure. The electricals , including battery health and wiring integrity, should also be tested, as a motorcycle left unused risks parasitic drain or corrosion in connectors. While the MOT record provides no cause for immediate concern, these areas are critical for ensuring the motorcycle remains reliable beyond its current low-mileage status.
