1993 Reliant Robin 0.8L Petrol · K234 RLN

The vehicle is currently in a roadworthy condition, having achieved a clean MOT pass in December 2025 at 25,282 miles. This recent result indicates a stable maintenance trend following a period of recorded neglect in mid-2013. The transition from a multi-fault failure twelve years ago to a perfect pass suggests that the current owner has addressed the outstanding electrical and mechanical issues that previously devalued the vehicle. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a 33-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 766 miles per year. There is a significant gap in usage between May 2010 and August 2013, during which the car covered only 710 miles. Furthermore, between August 2013 and December 2025, the vehicle travelled just 3,003 miles. While low mileage reduces wear on the drivetrain and engine components, such infrequent use patterns often increase the risk of rubber component degradation and brake corrosion due to long periods of inactivity. A buyer must focus their physical inspection on the leaf spring suspension, as the 2013 test flagged deterioration on both the nearside and offside rear units. Although these were not failing at the time, the age of the components makes them prone to rust and fatigue. The engine mount was also noted as deteriorated in 2013 and should be visually inspected for cracking or perished rubber that could cause excessive. Given the low mileage, the structural integrity of the chassis and bodywork remains the highest concern, as hidden corrosion is the primary failure point for this era of vehicle regardless of distance driven.
