1993 GMC Vandura 5.0L Petrol · K440 ENM

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness status based on the most recent inspection. On October 27 2023, at 222,216 miles, the GMC passed its MOT with no defects recorded. This indicates that the vehicle met all minimum safety and environmental standards at that specific time, though the lack of historical advisory data makes it difficult to track the long-term degradation trend of specific components. The recorded mileage of 222,216 miles reflects an average annual usage of approximately 6,700 miles per year, which is consistent with typical patterns for a vehicle of this age. This lower annual accumulation suggests less strain on the drivetrain and engine components, but also increases the risk of age-related failure in rubber seals and fluid systems. Since the last test occurred nearly two and a half years ago, the vehicle is now overdue for a fresh MOT, and the current state of mechanical components remains unverified by the DVSA database. A buyer must focus their physical inspection on the structural integrity of the chassis and floor pans, as older vans of this era are prone to significant corrosion that MOT tests may not catch until it becomes critical. Given the age, the suspension should be checked for perished bushes and worn coil springs, which can compromise handling. Additionally, the braking system should be examined for binding calipers or perished hydraulic lines, as the sparse history does not provide detail on the wear levels of these vital safety components.
