2018 Volvo V60 Momentum D4 2.0L Heavy oil · KX68 NUC

This Volvo V60 demonstrates a consistent track record of roadworthiness, having passed four consecutive MOT tests without a single recorded defect or advisory. The most recent clean pass on 9 December 2024 confirms a stable mechanical trend, with no evidence of deteriorating components or recurring failures throughout the recorded history. With 54,464 miles recorded over approximately eight years, the vehicle has averaged roughly 6,808 miles per year. This usage pattern is typical for its age, suggesting a balanced duty cycle that avoids the risks associated with both excessive wear from high mileage and the degradation often found in vehicles that have spent long periods stationary. Despite the clean MOT history, a physical inspection should focus on wear items that may not trigger a failure but affect refinement. During a test drive, pay close attention to the steering rack and suspension bushings for any subtle knocks or play, as these components typically begin to show age around this mileage. Check for any uneven tyre wear across the axles, which could indicate alignment issues not yet severe enough to be flagged as a defect. Ensure the braking system is evaluated for smoothness; any pedal judder or steering wheel vibration under braking would suggest disc warping. While the MOT records show no emissions or exhaust failures, listen for changes in engine note or excessive vibration at idle to ensure the drivetrain remains consistent with the clean testing record.
