2008 Lexus IS250 2.5L Petrol · LC58 UMZ

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness based on a consistent record of clean passes over the last five years. The most recent MOT test conducted in December 2025 at 169,781 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This indicates a stable maintenance trend where the previous owner has proactively addressed mechanical and safety requirements before they reached failure status, which is uncommon for a vehicle of this age and mileage. The mileage accumulation is remarkably consistent across the car's eighteen years, averaging approximately 9,400 miles per year. Between December 2021 and December 2024, the vehicle covered 30,688 miles, showing a steady usage pattern without significant gaps or sudden spikes in mileage. The 17,271 miles recorded between the December 2024 and 2025 tests suggest regular driving cycles. This consistent use often helps to prevent the issues associated with long periods of standing, such as seized brake calipers or internal fluid-related corrosion. While the clean MOT history is encouraging, a buyer must focus their physical inspection on high-wear components common to the Lexus IS250. Examine the front suspension, specifically the lower control arms and rubber bushings, as these often perish at 170,000 miles. Check the chassis for any structural corrosion along the sills and rear wheel arches, as the MOT only flags structural rot once it becomes a safety risk. Given the mileage, verify the condition of the shock absorbers and check for any signs of oil leaks, as these items are not covered by the standard MOT fit and test procedure.
