2017 Hyundai Tucson 1.7L Diesel · MW17 BCO

The 2017 Hyundai Tucson presents an exceptionally clean MOT history, with the most recent test on 31 May 2024 resulting in a pass with no recorded defects. This outcome confirms a stable and positive maintenance trend, as the vehicle has maintained a clean record across the last four consecutive annual inspections. The absence of advisories during this period suggests that the previous owner adhered to a proactive service schedule, effectively addressing consumable wear before it reached the threshold of a formal test failure. The recorded mileage of 62,992 miles over nine years averages approximately 7,000 miles per annum, which aligns with typical usage patterns for a vehicle of this class. The consistent, incremental accumulation of mileage between the August 2021 and May 2024 tests indicates the vehicle has remained in regular operation rather than suffering from prolonged periods of inactivity. This steady usage profile is generally preferable to low-mileage examples that may have sat idle, as it reduces the risk of seized components, perished rubber seals, or internal corrosion caused by stagnant fluids. Despite the exemplary MOT record, a prospective buyer must conduct a thorough physical inspection of the chassis and mechanical assemblies. While the DVSA data confirms no recent failures, it does not account for components that fall outside the scope of a standard test, such as the condition of the clutch, the effectiveness of the air conditioning system, or the health of the drivetrain. Prioritize checking for any signs of uneven tyre wear, which could indicate underlying suspension geometry issues not yet severe enough to trigger an advisory. Verify the service history documentation to ensure that critical maintenance items like oil changes and brake fluid flushes have been performed, as these are essential for the long-term reliability of the Tucson platform.
